ABOUT US

Giggleton was set up by husband and wife team Harry and Ayla Batchelor. We are parents to 2 young girls and have been to many conventional soft play centres in the past before we stumbled upon role play activities online. We loved the concept and benefits of role play and noticed a gap in the market in our local community for such a venue and the feedback from parents was very positive. With a history of setting up other businesses we were up for the challenge and set to work to create Giggleton Village!

One of the amazing benefits of role-play in the early years is that it's a powerful exercise for the imagination. Pretending to be someone (or something!) else flexes our creative muscles to conjure the 'story', the characters and the scenario. We have to imagine how someone would feel, what they would say, and how they would act or react to certain situations. Props can become almost anything; twigs transform into magic wands, cardboard boxes are spaceships and dish towels become capes! Exercising our imaginations in this way fosters our children's cognitive development and creates new pathways in the brain, aiding us to think and dream up solutions to problems and be able to 'think outside the box'.
